Isabel Hampton Robb was the first superintendent of nurses at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and principal of the nursing school. She was an exceptional scholar and laid the foundation for the school of nursing’s reputation of leadership and innovation, a tradition that has grown and flourished over decades. The title of Isabel Hampton Robb Distinguished Scholar recognizes achievement at the highest level, past eminence, and ongoing excellence.
