This is the 1st summit for Maryland, the Maryland Coalition of HIV and Aging (MCOHA) is collaborating with Baltimore City and State of Maryland HIV Planning Group (HPG).
The objectives of the summit revolve around the following:
- Epidemiology of older adults with HIV in the state of Maryland
- Putting together the best health care team for older adults: (looking at 2 MD models using geriatric assessments in their HIV clinics)
- Building capacity to meet the needs of an aging population in our state
- Utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach
- Understanding the unique Social Determinants of Health that impact older adults
- Integrating HIV and Aging Services in Maryland to close gaps
- Exploring new funding streams outside of Ryan White
